Does Tape Mountain accept trades?
Sure! So long as they are not horrible (by my definition). But
my hope is that the readers of this page are a self-selecting bunch.
And let's face it, a nice trade is more satisfying than a cash transaction.
Things I am looking for (updated 1-31-2003)
- Old-school New Zealand records I don't already have--especially looking for a copy of the Bird Nest Roys' self-titled LP (or CD)
- Ukrainian country-polka records from Manitoba
- Interesting homemade recordings/zines
- Krazy Kat books (if you have The Limbo of Useless Unconsciousness
, Howling among the Halls of Night, or Shed A Soft Mongolian Tear
, let's talk)
- $20,000 (I currently have the love of a kind-hearted woman)
- Sweet but non-simpery indie-pop
- Peanuts books (if you see cheap garage-sale/thrift-store paperbacks,
pick them up for me, assuming I don't already have them) (esp. from the 70's, or the cool stuff from the 50's when they all had really round heads and were really cruel to Charlie Brown!)
- Fighting Fantasy books, yes I am a geek
- Recordings from the rock band you were in during junior high (or high school if you prefer)
- Ethnic Folkways records, especially the ones from Cambodia that Chinary
Ung compiled
- Japanese-made Memphis-brand guitars
- Memorabilia from the Mondale/Ferraro '84 campaign
- Anything from the Smithsonian Folkways Music of Indonesia series
- early Iron Maiden records
- these amazing cassettes that I made when I was 15 and then promptly
lost that don't really exist but show up in my dreams quite frequently
